Ari Gold

Ari Gold is the founder of Icestore.com, one of the pioneering online diamond retailers and an early innovator in bringing fine diamonds and custom jewelry to the internet. A direct descendant of Henry Bogoff, the renowned founder of Bogoff Jewelry, Ari’s connection to the jewelry world spans generations and reflects a family tradition of craftsmanship, design, and appreciation for exceptional gemstones.

Ari earned a dual Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Economics from the Warrington College of Business at the University of Florida, and continued his studies in the MBA program at Emory University, concentrating on International Finance. His background in business, economics, and global markets would later provide a unique perspective on the diamond industry—one that combined analytical rigor with a passion for beauty and rarity.

His journey into diamonds began unexpectedly in 1999 while searching for a meaningful anniversary gift for his wife. During visits to the Los Angeles Diamond District, Ari was disappointed by the high-pressure sales tactics, lack of transparency, and limited information available to consumers making one of life’s most important purchases. Convinced that buyers deserved a more knowledgeable, transparent, and customer-focused experience, he set out to learn the diamond trade from the inside.

A fortunate introduction to a respected Los Angeles diamond appraiser led Ari to one of the world’s most prominent diamond wholesalers, where he received his first true education in diamonds, including exposure to some of the finest fancy color diamonds available. His time working with Lazar Diamonds in Los Angeles deepened his appreciation for exceptional cut quality, rare colors, and the extraordinary beauty that only diamonds can possess.

Recognizing the transformative potential of the internet, Ari founded Icestore.com in 2001, making diamonds—including rare fancy color diamonds—available online at a time when purchasing fine jewelry over the internet was still a new concept. Over the last 25 years, he has helped thousands of couples select the perfect diamond and create engagement rings and fine jewelry that celebrate life’s most meaningful moments.

Today, Ari remains passionate about the perfect geometry of a beautifully cut diamond, the remarkable brilliance that defines the gem, and the rare colors found only in nature. His mission continues to be the same as it was at the beginning: to provide clients with exceptional diamonds, expert guidance, and a transparent, educational buying experience built on trust.
